You may need to edit your vsftpd configuration file (vsftpd.conf) as writing is disabled by default.
sudo nano /etc/vsftpd.conf
If it isn’t in that location, try searching for it:
In vsftpd.conf, search for the following line
Remove the # sign from this line.
Save file and exit. (Press
Y and then press
Now restart vsftpd service
sudo service vsftpd restart
